Tech, Marketing & Media Assistant (Entry-Level / Part-Time)

We are seeking an entry-level, hands-on assistant based in the Sarasota area to support Steven Meserve—the cat guy and content creator. You will help audit digital setups, assist with content creation, and support local events. This position begins as a part-time contract to handle initial system reviews, ongoing media tasks, and event logistics, with a definite opportunity to grow into a full-time contract based on your performance and our business growth.Key Responsibilities

• Assistant to Steven Meserve: Act as a dependable right-hand assistant to Steven Meserve to keep digital and media projects organized.
• System Audit: Log into our Shopify, Meta Ads, and email platforms to review current configurations and note what is working or broken.
• Google Suite Migration: Review our current email and file infrastructure to help plan and prepare for an upcoming technical migration.
• Content Creation & AI: Film raw video footage and edit engaging, short-form content for our social media channels using AI tools to speed up editing, drafting, and ideation.
• Event Operations: Minor admin with vendor and rescue relations
• PR Support: Help draft basic press releases, build local media lists, and handle outreach to community partners or influencers.
• Daily Management: Help schedule organic social media posts and monitor basic e-commerce store updates.

Requirements

• Must love cats: You will be working directly in a cat-centric content creation environment.
• Basic, hands-on familiarity with Shopify, Meta Ads Manager, and video editing tools (like CapCut, Canva, or Premiere).
• Familiarity with or a strong interest in utilizing AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, or CapCut AI features) to maximize daily output.
