Social Media Strategist/Manager

BLD Marketing seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of Social Media Strategist/Manager.

Reporting to the director of PR/content/social media, the social media strategist/manager will be based in the agency’s Pittsburgh office.

The successful candidate

• Has at least three years of experience in social media and communications in a marketing agency setting.
• Has earned a bachelor’s degree in digital media, public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related profession.
• Is able to excel in a team environment and independently, especially in a hybrid work-from-home 2 days, and in the office 3 days structure.
• Possesses an understanding of the practice of social media marketing, familiarity with the primary social media channels and tools, and the ability to drive social media strategy and activation for client accounts.
• Can effectively work in a collaborative environment to integrate overall marketing campaigns providing social media best practices and content strategy on behalf of the agency and its clients.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide strategy for client accounts – both independently and collaboratively with other agency disciplines.
• Ensure social media plans align with broader client and agency objectives – provide assessments.
• Provide POVs on client goals/strategies for awareness, channel building, engagement, etc.
• Oversee the management of all client social media accounts and social media staff
• Possess a thinker/doer mentality, building strategy while also executing on day-to-day activity.
• Work closely with content team to develop and execute clients’ social media programs
• Collaborate with the larger agency teams to ensure social efforts align, are integrated, and client scopes are fulfilled.
• Learn and manage the agency’s social media tools and explore all its capabilities – including functions not currently being used.
