Job Description
SpearPoint Marketing is looking for a reliable part-time contractor to support ongoing website content publishing, formatting, and implementation for our SEO and digital marketing clients.
The main responsibility of this role is publishing blog posts and website content, making sure posts are formatted properly, rendering correctly, and aligned with SEO best practices. This role may also include light website updates, QA, and occasional troubleshooting as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Publish and format blog posts in WordPress and other website platforms
- Make sure blog posts render correctly on desktop and mobile
- Format headings, images, internal links, buttons, spacing, categories, tags, featured images, and other on-page elements
- Add or update SEO elements such as title tags, meta descriptions, URL slugs, image alt text, and internal links
- Implement content updates on service pages, landing pages, and other website pages as needed
- Follow provided SEO recommendations, content briefs, SOPs, and client-specific instructions
- Review published content for formatting issues, broken links, image problems, spacing issues, and mobile display concerns
- Help manage digital assets such as images, documents, and content files
- Complete basic website QA after publishing or updates are made
- Communicate clearly on task status, blockers, questions, and estimated timelines
- Work within Asana or similar project management tools
As-Needed Website Support
This role may also include occasional website implementation or troubleshooting tasks, such as:
- Fixing formatting or rendering issues on pages and posts
- Troubleshooting broken layouts, plugin conflicts, or mobile display issues
- Helping resolve contact form issues, including form submissions, notification emails, spam/bot submissions, and confirmation messages
- Implementing or QAing structured data/schema markup when provided
- Assisting with basic technical SEO updates such as redirects, broken links, sitemap checks, canonical tags, or indexing requests
- Supporting GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, or form tracking updates when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong WordPress experience required
- Experience publishing and formatting blog content required
- Elementor experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable making basic HTML/CSS edits when needed
- Familiarity with SEO content formatting and on-page SEO best practices
- Ability to spot formatting, rendering, and mobile display issues before work goes live
- Experience with Shopify, Wix, or Squarespace is a plus
- Basic troubleshooting experience with forms, plugins, redirects, tracking, or schema is a plus
- Detail-oriented, responsive, and organized
- Able to work independently and ask good questions when something is unclear
- Agency, freelance, or multi-client website experience preferred
Role Details
- Part-time independent contractor role
- Approximately 10–15 hours per week to start
- Flexible schedule, though timely communication and deadline follow-through are important

- Hourly or retainer arrangement depending on experience and availability
- Pay based on experience
