Overview

Melanin Love Journey (MLJ) is a Charlotte-based relationship and experiences brand dedicated to Celebrating Love in Every Shade. Through curated events, social experiences, and intentional connection opportunities, we create spaces where Black singles can build authentic relationships and community.

We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern to support our marketing, content creation, and event promotion efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking hands-on experience in social media marketing, content creation, event marketing, brand development, and community engagement.

Students, recent graduates, aspiring marketers, and content creators are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Capture photos and videos at live events and community experiences
• Create, edit, and schedule content for Instagram, TikTok, Threads, LinkedIn, and other social platforms
• Assist with social media management and audience engagement
• Monitor trends, cultural conversations, and opportunities relevant to our audience
• Support event marketing campaigns and promotional efforts
• Research potential partnerships, influencers, sponsors, and marketing opportunities
• Assist with content planning and marketing strategy discussions
• Track social media engagement and campaign performance
• Help strengthen brand awareness and grow our online community

Qualifications

• Strong interest in marketing, communications, public relations, social media, or content creation
• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and LinkedIn
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Creative mindset with a willingness to learn
• Reliable transportation to attend local events when required
