About the Role

RMS of Ohio is looking for an enthusiastic, personable, and self-motivated part-time Marketing & Outreach Specialist to help promote our remote support services across the state of Ohio.

• Position Type: Part-time, 30-hours per week, possibility of becoming full-time
• Location: Fully remote, traveling throughout Ohio
• Pay: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience
• Benefits: Mileage reimbursement and performance-based incentives.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, presenting meaningful services, traveling to community events, and representing a mission-driven organization. In this role, you will serve as a brand ambassador for RMS of Ohio by attending trade shows, provider fairs, conferences, and county board meetings to demonstrate how our remote support services work.

You will help educate families, county boards, providers, and community partners about how remote support can increase independence, improve safety, and expand service options for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Represent RMS of Ohio at trade shows, conferences, provider fairs, county board meetings, and other outreach events throughout Ohio
• Demonstrate and explain RMS of Ohio’s remote support services in a clear, professional, and engaging way
• Build relationships with county boards, provider agencies, families, guardians, and referral sources
• Conduct outreach to county boards of developmental disabilities and provider agencies to introduce RMS of Ohio’s remote support services
• Identify, document, and track new growth opportunities
• Help coordinate follow-up after events and outreach meetings
• Set up and manage booth displays, printed materials, and technology demonstration equipment
• Communicate the value of remote support in a way that is easy to understand for both professional and family audiences
• Host virtual events/trainings/ educational series
• Serve as a positive and knowledgeable representative of the RMS of Ohio brand and mission

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is friendly, confident, organized, and comfortable speaking with a wide variety of people. You do not need to be a technology expert, but you should be willing to learn how our remote support services work and explain them in a simple, approachable way.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable presenting information and demonstrating services to individuals and groups
• Positive, outgoing, and professional demeanor
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
• Strong follow-up and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel throughout Ohio as needed
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Experience

Experience in the following areas is helpful but not all are required

• Marketing, outreach, sales, business development, or event promotion
• Human services, healthcare, social services, or disability services
• Intellectual and developmental disabilities services
• County board or provider agency environments
• Technology-enabled services, remote supports, or assistive technology
• Technical aptitude and proficiency with presentation tools (PowerPoint/Canva) and digital communication platforms.

Schedule

This is a part-time, flexible position with an event-based schedule. Most work will occur during normal business hours, though occasional evening or weekend events may be required.

Travel throughout Ohio will be part of the position. Reliable transportation is required.

Compensation

• $25–$35 per hour, based on experience
• Mileage reimbursement for approved travel
• Performance-based incentives
