Marketing Operations Coordinator

Job Description
Job Summary
We're a Northeast Ohio marketing agency serving home services and contractor businesses. We manage websites, Google Ads, CRM, automation, and video production for local and regional clients. We're a small fast-moving operation and we need someone who can keep up.
We're looking for a Marketing Operations Coordinator — someone organized, professional, reliable, and genuinely good at managing details and people. This is not a creative role. There is no strategy work, no brand building, and no social media management. This is the operational and client-facing backbone of the business, and if that sounds like exactly what you're good at, keep reading.
This role starts part-time (20–25 hours/week) with the expectation of growing into a full-time position for the right person. It is primarily work-from-home but requires local availability — you must be in the greater Northeast Ohio area. Periodic in-person meetings and training are part of the job.
Duties
- Answer inbound client calls and emails as the first point of contact — professionally, knowledgeably, and without needing your hand held
- Maintain client contact through scheduled outbound calling
- Schedule meetings with clients for our account executives
- Manage and maintain our CRM — keeping records current, logging activity, tracking client status, and flagging anything that needs follow-up
- Handle administrative paperwork — proposals, agreements, onboarding documents, billing coordination
- Monitor active client campaigns at a basic level — confirming ads are running, reporting deadlines are met, escalating anything that looks off
- Support ownership with scheduling, follow-ups, internal task management, and client communications
- Learn our clients, our market, and our systems — and own that knowledge over time
Experience
- Located in the greater Akron/Cleveland/Canton area — this is a hard requirement
- 2+ years in an administrative, inside sales support, customer service, or operations role — marketing agency experience is a plus but not required
- Professional phone presence — you can handle a frustrated client, represent the company well, and communicate clearly without a script
- Organized and process-driven — you maintain systems, you follow through, and things don't fall through cracks
- Self-directed — you can work from home without someone managing every hour of your day
- Basic familiarity with CRM software, Google Ads dashboards, or project management tools is helpful — we'll train you on our specific stack
What This Is Not
This is not a stepping stone into a creative or strategy role. It is not a fit for someone who wants to pivot into digital marketing or grow their personal brand. If your background is primarily content creation, graphic design, or social media management, this is not the right role.
To Apply
Send a resume and a short cover letter — no more than a few paragraphs — explaining what systems or processes you've managed to keep accounts, clients, or workflows organized. Begin your cover letter with the phrase "Equip Ready" at the top. Applications that do not follow this instruction will not be reviewed.
Pay: $36,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
Benefits
- Health insurance
- Life insurance
- Paid time off
- Retirement plan
