Membership and Communications Manager

The role of the Membership & Communications Manager reports to the CEO. Coordinates with the CEO to execute communications plan and ONCAC mission, goals, strategies, and objectives. Engages with ONCAC membership to build relationships, understand membership needs, and provide supportive services.

Educational Requirement: The employee should have a bachelor’s level degree in appropriate undergraduate course work or applicable experience relevant to position. It is highly desired that candidate for this position would have CAC experience or have numerous training hours regarding CACs and MDTs, through in-state, regional, and/or national conferences.

Job Qualifications: Three to five years experience in communications or membership management: experience drafting communication documents for public and member communication; demonstrated problem-solving and team collaboration; excellent verbal and written communication; knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote) and Microsoft Teams/Outlook; experience in coordinating/delivering trainings online, in-person, and hybrid.

Job Responsibilities

In collaboration with the CEO participate in planning and development of strategic communications plan for membership communications and social media communications.

In conjunction with the CEO, coordinates information and response to requests from individuals and community groups at the local, state, and national levels.

In conjunction with CEO and ONCAC team create presentations and membership materials.

Participate in efforts to provide consultation and technical assistance to established and developing CACs and relevant community partners.

In collaboration with the Director of Operations and Programming and the programming and outreach team, develop balanced training calendars that meet needs of membership and community requests.
