Scholar is building the AI infrastructure for special education. We started in K-12 classrooms, helping teachers deliver personalized instruction without increasing workload. Today, our platform serves more than 20,000 students with accommodations, instructional support, and real-time learning insights.
We are now expanding to address a deeper system failure, where students wait months for evaluation, families face significant out-of-pocket costs, and critical learning time is lost before support reaches the classroom. This next phase combines AI, structured data, and human expertise to enable faster, more consistent, and more accessible support for every student.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly entrepreneurial and results-driven Growth Marketing Leader to build and lead our direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing expansion from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic marketer who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and executing campaigns.
The ideal candidate has deep direct-to-consumer (DTC) growth marketing experience, preferably within digital health, telehealth, consumer wellness, or healthcare technology organizations.
As our first dedicated marketing leader, you will be critical to the entire growth marketing strategy and execution roadmap. You will be responsible for building the foundation, identifying opportunities for scale, and eventually helping shape and lead a future marketing organization
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Growth Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's customer acquisition and growth marketing strategy.
- Build a scalable marketing roadmap aligned with business goals and revenue targets.
- Identify new growth opportunities across paid, owned, earned, and partnership channels.
- Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, attribution models, and growth forecasting.
- Serve as the strategic marketing leader and trusted advisor to executive leadership.
Customer Acquisition
- Own customer acquisition across channels including:
- Paid Search (Google/Bing)
- Paid Social (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn)
- Display & Programmatic
- Affiliate Marketing
- Influencer Partnerships
- Referral Programs
- SEO & Content Marketing
- Optimize marketing spend to improve CAC, LTV, ROAS, conversion rates, and retention.
- Identify and organize relevant in-person events. Will have the opportunity to travel.
Funnel Optimization
- Analyze customer behavior and identify opportunities to improve conversion throughout the customer journey.
- Design and execute landing page tests, conversion rate optimization initiatives, and growth experiments.
- Develop customer segmentation and personalization strategies.
Marketing Operations & Execution
- Build and manage marketing technology infrastructure and reporting systems.
- Partner with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors when appropriate.
- Create and manage campaign briefs, messaging frameworks, and performance dashboards.
- Execute campaigns directly when needed and maintain a hands-on approach to driving results.
Brand & Market Positioning
- Collaborate with leadership to refine brand positioning, messaging, and customer value propositions.
- Ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints and acquisition channels.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of growth marketing experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- 3+ years leading growth strategy in a direct-to-consumer business.
- Experience working within digital health, telehealth, healthcare technology, consumer wellness, parent related services or related industries
- Demonstrated success scaling customer acquisition programs and driving measurable revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, retention, and conversion optimization.
- Deep analytical mindset with strong command of marketing metrics and attribution.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience at high-growth digital health organizations such as Hims, Hers, Ro, Teladoc, Noom, WeightWatchers, or similar companies.
- Familiarity with healthcare marketing regulations and compliance considerations.
- Experience launching new products or services in a consumer healthcare environment.
- Exposure to subscription-based or recurring revenue business models.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
