About Mason Jar Group

Mason Jar Group is a hospitality company with nine locations across the Charlotte area and High Point, North Carolina. Our restaurants, bars, and event spaces each have their own personality, connected by a commitment to memorable experiences and genuine hospitality.

We are seeking a creative, organized, and results-driven Director of Marketing to lead marketing efforts across all nine locations. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on content creation, social media management, and collaboration with our operations and events teams.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Director of Marketing will oversee all social media platforms and develop marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness, drive guest traffic, support event bookings, and strengthen each location’s presence in its market.

This position offers flexibility to work remotely, from our venue locations, or from our corporate office for much of the week. In-person visits to locations in Charlotte and High Point are required a couple of times each week to capture content, meet with teams, and stay connected to the guest experience. Occasional evening and weekend availability is needed for events, promotions, and content coverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a marketing strategy across all nine locations while maintaining each venue’s distinct identity and voice.
  • Work directly with the Director of Operations to align marketing priorities, campaigns, and budgets with company goals.
  • Oversee all social media accounts, including content planning, photography, video, copywriting, scheduling, and audience engagement.
  • Build and maintain a marketing calendar covering seasonal campaigns, menu launches, special events, holidays, and promotions.
  • Visit locations regularly to capture fresh content and collaborate with managers, chefs, bartenders, and event teams.
  • Create engaging short-form videos, reels, stories, and other content that showcases our food, beverages, spaces, and people.
  • Partner with the sales and events team to promote private dining, weddings, corporate gatherings, and other booking opportunities.
  • Manage digital advertising campaigns and marketing budgets, tracking performance and adjusting efforts to improve results.
  • Keep websites, business listings, menus, hours, and promotional information accurate and current.
  • Develop email marketing campaigns that encourage repeat visits and promote upcoming offerings.
  • Coordinate partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, influencers, and media.
  • Provide regular reporting on social media growth, engagement, website traffic, campaign performance, and event inquiries.
  • Coordinate outside photographers, designers, agencies, and other creative partners as needed.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading marketing and social media efforts, preferably in hospitality, restaurants, nightlife, or events.
  • Experience managing multiple brands or locations while balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong photography, video editing, copywriting, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Working knowledge of social media management platforms, Meta Business Suite, digital advertising, email marketing, and analytics tools.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable design tools.
  • Ability to turn marketing ideas into organized campaigns with clear deadlines and measurable goals.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with both leadership and location teams.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to handle day-to-day execution.
  • Ability to travel regularly between Charlotte and High Point.
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant campaigns, social media accounts, and original content.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who understands hospitality and knows how to translate the energy of a venue into compelling marketing. The ideal candidate can set the overall direction, create the content, and follow through on the details—while keeping nine locations represented consistently and thoughtfully.
