Associate Director - SEO, GEO, and Content Performance

Job Description

The Associate Director, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Content Performance will be responsible for evolving our Companys Animal Health’s web search strategy to an integrated SEO GEO approach, ensuring our content is discoverable, authoritative, and cited across both search engines and AI-driven platforms (e.g., AI Overviews, Copilot, ChatGPT). The role will partner closely with stakeholders in Global Marketing, Customer Engagement and IT to embed search optimization into omnichannel content and customer engagement strategies.

This role requires a customer-centric strategic thinker with a strong background in digital marketing and data analytics, coupled with exceptional collaboration, leadership and communication abilities. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to inspire and guide cross-functional teams, effectively communicate complex strategies to stakeholders, and foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to

* Global SEO GEO Strategy:

– Define and lead an integrated SEO GEO strategy aligned to species marketing and other enterprise priorities.

– Evolve KPIs from traditional metrics (rankings, traffic) to include AI citations, share of voice, and discoverability.

– Identify high-impact use cases across brands, markets, and customer segments.

* Content Experience Optimization:

– Partner with Content Hub stakeholders to optimize content for search rankings and AI consumption; Ensure content is structured, authoritative, and citation ready.

– Establish standards for AI-friendly content (clarity, structure, factual accuracy)

– Collaborate with MarTech and IT stakeholders to establish standards for taxonomy, metadata, and schema to improve machine readability.
