Job Summary

The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center. We are currently seeking a talented Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team and contribute to the visual identity of our life-saving Sanctuary and Adoption Centers. As a Social Media Specialist with The Cat House on the Kings, you will have the opportunity to translate ideas into captivating visuals that’ll resonate with our target audience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the marketing team to create graphics, videos, and other marketing assets for social media.
• Maintain brand consistency across all social media channels.
• Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices.
• Manage multiple social media accounts while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Monitor and respond to social media comments, messages, and inquiries.
• Develop content plans, shot lists, campaign content, and social media calendars.
• Attend fundraising events to capture photo and video content as needed.
• Create and organize post plans, shot lists, and campaign content schedules.
• Plan, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of social media marketing and SEO
• Portfolio required
• Proficient in networking platforms, Canva, and similar creative software
• Basic knowledge of video production/editing, photo editing, and design principles
• Strong eye for creativity, detail, and visual composition
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong writing skills with proper grammar and spelling
• Knowledge of major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok Youtube
• Preferred: 1+ year of experience managing social media accounts
