Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Innovation

  • Architect Strategy: Develop and oversee comprehensive SEO roadmaps for national and multi-location local businesses. You will look "under the hood" of current campaigns, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities that others miss.
  • Test & Validate: Don’t just follow the herd. Design and run independent SEO experiments to find competitive edges. Validate these tactics, document them, and roll them out across the agency.
  • Future-Proofing (AEO): Actively research and implement strategies for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and AI-driven search. Ensure our clients remain visible as search behaviors shift from keywords to conversations.
  • Algorithm Adaptation: Monitor volatility closely. Possess the wisdom to know when to "hold the line" and when to pivot strategy during major Google updates.

Local SEO & Multi-Location Mastery

  • Hyper-Local Domination: Utilize Local Falcon and Local Viking to secure Map Pack dominance. Manage GMB/GBP profiles at scale, ensuring consistent NAP and optimized attributes.
  • Geographic Architecture: structure site hierarchies and location pages to target specific service areas without cannibalization or "doorway page" penalties.

Technical Execution & Content Synergy

  • Technical Deep Dives: Perform advanced audits using Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and Search Atlas. Fix indexing issues, schema markup errors, and Core Web Vitals directly within WordPress.
  • Conversion-Led SEO: Collaborate with content and design teams to ensure traffic leads to revenue. You will act as the gatekeeper against "junk traffic," ensuring our content satisfies user intent and drives CRO.

Mentorship, Process & Reporting

  • Mentorship: Train and mentor Junior Digital Marketers. Teach them the *why* behind the *how*, fostering a team that understands the correlation between specific tactics and successful campaigns.
  • Operational Efficiency: Build and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within Wrike to streamline workflows and reduce friction.
  • Advanced Analytics: Use GA4, GSC, and Agency Analytics to look past basic market pullbacks. Provide our Account Managers with clear, data-backed narratives that explain performance and instill certainty in our clients.

What You Bring (Requirements)

  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (Agency experience heavily preferred).
  • Tech Stack Mastery: You are an expert in our specific stack:
  • CMS: Deep expertise in WordPress (We do not focus on other platforms).
  • Core Tools: Google Analytics (GA4), GSC, Tag Manager.
  • SEO Suite: Ahrefs, Search Atlas, Screaming Frog.
  • Local Tools: Local Falcon, Local Viking.
  • Workflow: Wrike (or similar PM software).
  • Leadership Mindset: You have experience (or a strong desire) to train junior staff, review their work, and improve their output.
  • Communication: You can translate complex technical "SEO speak" into plain English for internal teams and clients.

Compensation Overview

At Elite Results Marketing, we believe in a "Pay for Performance" model. As the Lead SEO, you control the product. If the product (rankings & traffic) is good, clients stay. If clients stay, you get paid more.

  • Base Salary Range: $50,000–$70,000/year + Profit Sharing, Quarterly Performance Incentive After Trial Period Completed
  • Variable Performance Pay: $5,000 – $10,000 (Annual Potential)
  • Unlimited PTO
