About the Role

WSI is a digital marketing agency helping local businesses win online. We handle Google Business Profile optimization, local SEO, websites, and ongoing digital marketing for small and mid-sized businesses. We're building a dedicated business development function to replace our current outreach setup with a full-cycle rep who owns the pipeline from first contact to signed client.

This is a base plus commission plus residual role, with real upside as our recurring client base grows.

What You'll Do

Lead Generation & Pipeline Building

  • Generate your own leads through networking (BNI, local Chamber groups), referrals, and outbound outreach (calls and email)
  • Work with lead generation and cold calling team to nurture and close leads they generate for the team.
  • Represent WSI at weekly local networking events to build referral relationships
  • Run a structured outreach cadence that leads with a specific, useful observation about a prospect's Google Business Profile, not a generic pitch
  • Keep every prospect in the pipeline with a clear stage and next action

Consultative Selling

  • Run discovery conversations that identify why a business isn't showing up in local search or Google Maps and what that's costing them
  • Move prospects through a defined pipeline: Identified, Contacted, Conversation, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation, Closed Won or Closed Lost

Sales Support

  • Prepare and present proposals for GBP management, local SEO, and related digital marketing services
  • Coordinate with the internal team on onboarding, GBP management, and development for a clean handoff after closing
  • Maintain accurate, up to date pipeline records within Hubspot
  • Report on pipeline health, conversion rates, and forecasted new business
