Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Vice President of Revenue Marketing to build and lead our demand generation, growth, and revenue operations strategy. This is a build role, not a maintenance role: you will architect a high-maturity revenue engine under one principle - every marketing program must trace to pipeline or revenue.
You will own the full revenue marketing engine - strategy, team, budget, MarTech, and process - and an executive-level share of closed-won pipeline revenue. You will not be measured on impressions or raw MQL volume.
Symetri wins on deep domain expertise in the industries we serve, a portfolio that combines leading partner software with our own professional services and proprietary technology, and measurable client outcomes. This leader will turn those strengths into a differentiated market narrative, running brand, thought leadership, product marketing, partner programs, and client proof as accountable revenue levers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue StrategyPipeline Ownership
- Pipeline Target: In the first quarters, model and recommend the share of pipeline this role will own, with Sales, Professional Services, Client Success, and Finance leadership. Once approved, own delivery against it.
- PlanningGrowth: Own the annual and quarterly marketing plan, aligned to business goals and validated against team capacity, across new-client acquisition, expansion/cross-sell, and retention.
- DiscoveryIntent: Align campaigns to ICPs and buyer intent, including Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) for AI search.
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Sales SLAs: With Sales leadership, establish joint pipeline SLAs, shared lifecycle-stage definitions, lead routing, and mutual accountability.
- Revenue Culture: Partner with Sales, Sales Ops, Professional Services, and Client Success leaders to build a unified, revenue-focused operating rhythm.
- Funnel Performance: Architect end-to-end buyer workflows and optimize stage-by-stage conversion to shorten sales cycles and improve win rates and retention.
MarTech, ContentAttribution
- MarTechAI: With IT and Sales Ops, run the revenue tech stack (marketing automation, ABM/intent, attribution) for closed-loop reporting, and deploy AI and predictive tools for personalized engagement at scale.
- Content: With content and brand leaders, build a full-funnel content ecosystem mapped to buying-committee personas and distributed across digital, paid, and AI answer engines.
- AttributionReporting: Build multi-touch attribution that ties marketing spend to closed-won revenue in the CRM, and report ROI, CAC, and NRR to the executive team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience: 12+ years of progressive B2B marketing leadership, including 5+ years as VP or Director owning a pipeline target and 3+ years in revenue marketing.
- Track Record: Has transformed a marketing function into a revenue-producing organization using a structured revenue framework.
- Technical Depth: Enterprise MarTech experience with CRM, marketing automation, and ABM/intent platforms.
- Financial Acumen: Fluent in pipeline modeling, attribution, LTV/CAC, and core financial metrics.
- Executive Presence: Owns a number in front of Sales, Finance, and the executive team, and defends it under scrutiny.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
- Marketing-SourcedInfluenced Revenue: Share of closed-won revenue sourced or touched by marketing.
- Marketing ROICAC Payback: Pipeline and revenue generated relative to marketing investment.
- Funnel VelocityConversion: Progression from engagement/MQL to SQL and opportunity.
- Pipeline Predictability: Forecast accuracy of marketing-generated pipeline against the target set in Year 1.
