Role Summary

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Marketing Manager to run our real estate marketing engine while the Marketing Lead is on maternity leave. This is an outcomes-driven seat: it owns the listing launch process end to end, keeps the content pipeline and recurring sends on schedule, and holds the virtual marketing team to its weekly numbers so leadership never has to chase marketing. The person in this seat will own the team’s weekly operating rhythm, approve and quality-check content and newsletters, run the Monday marketing meeting, and keep agent-facing campaigns and recruiting efforts on track. Strong project management, editorial judgment, and comfort with tools like Notion, Slack, email marketing platforms (Kit), Compass Marketing Center, and AI-assisted content workflows are essential.

The Team You Will Manage

You will lead a six-person marketing and recruiting team, coordinating their work and holding each member accountable to their scorecard:

  • Listing Coordinator: preps listings in the MLS, designs open house and new-listing newsletters, posts listing updates in Slack, and manages listing marketing emails (sent to you for approval) and weekly seller report emails (you are cc’d).
  • Marketing VA: handles backend website management (including adding new agents), content creation and light video editing, and helps with the production queue.
  • Video Editor: edits all video footage, routes it through the Slack editing channel for approval, and adds approved links to the Notion content calendar.
  • Automations / Website / Nurture Specialist: owns back-end logistics and detailed automations, publishes listing blogs on stage changes and other blogs as assigned, and helps with the production queue.
  • Recruiting VA: manages everything on Indeed, updates the Recruiting and Indeed scorecards in Notion, and completes the team slides each Tuesday for the Wednesday meeting.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Meetings

  • Run the weekly Monday Marketing Meeting
  • Lead Wednesday L10 prep
  • Report the Marketing Card on track or off track at the weekly leadership L10.

Listing Launch & Vendors

* Own the listing launch process end to end: make sure every step of the launch checklist is followed on every listing and that each listing goes live on time, compliant, and error-free.

Content Oversight

  • Review and approve the daily content brief
  • Plan the roughly 10% of timely, event-driven social content not handled by the Marketing VA (office events, weather, local/national news)

Newsletters & Agent Marketing

  • Review and approve the Listing Coordinator’s open house and listing emails (links, subject lines, times, agents)
  • Manage the monthly Top Agent Newsletters
  • Own recurring sends such as the Kit “First in Q” newsletter and the Recruiting newsletter
  • Produce the monthly internal Marketing Newsletter

Recruiting & Operations

* Oversee the recruiting lead intake process across its various channels.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of marketing management or coordination experience, ideally in real estate or a fast-paced agency setting (MLS input, signage, photos, showings, disclosures a strong plus).
  • Proven project management and team-coordination skills, with process discipline: follows the checklist on every listing, even in busy weeks, and does not skip steps.
  • Excellent editorial and copy-editing judgment, including refining AI-generated copy into a natural, on-brand voice for sellers, listings, and newsletters.
  • Clear, fast, and firm communication with agents, and calm, warm, professional communication with sellers.
  • Experience managing remote people across time zones: clear deadlines and checked work.
  • Proficiency (or quick ramp-up) with Notion, Slack, FUB, Canva, Kit, GHL, email marketing tools, Compass Marketing Center, Google Drive, social schedulers, and AI tools (e.g., using Claude to cross-check listings and draft copy).
  • Comfortable reviewing creative work for quality, brand, and copyright/usage compliance.
  • Aligned with Q&U core values: integrity without compromise, hungry and all in, always learning, 1% better.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not marketing strategy or brand-new campaigns (those wait for the Marketing Lead’s return unless leadership directs otherwise).
  • Not content creation itself (the seat feeds and schedules the content team).
  • Not agents’ prospecting or lead follow-up.
  • Not transaction management after a contract is signed.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Term: Temporary coverage, approximately January through the end of May 2027.
  • Hours: Full-time, in office 5 days a week (specific weekly hours set by leadership).
  • Compensation discussed during the interview process.
  • Start/training: One full week running the seat alone before the leave begins (target week of December 14), after shadowing the Marketing Lead.
