Summary/Objective

The Houston Astros are looking for a part-time Social Media Specialist to support the execution, quality control, and coordination of the Houston Astros’ social media presence. This role plays a key part in real-time content publishing during games, maintaining accuracy across platforms, and supporting training efforts for social media staff.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

* Provide real-time social media support during home games, including: + Publishing content across Astros social media platforms + Clipping and distributing highlights and key in-game moments + Writing, editing, and optimizing captions consistent with brand voice + Tagging players, partners, and relevant accounts to enhance engagement * Review social media content for accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to brand guidelines. * Support and assist with the onboarding and training of Social Media staff, ensuring alignment with established Astros social media practices, workflows, content standards, brand guidelines and best practices. * Provide occasional remote coverage for away games, collaborating closely with the Social Media Coordinator to ensure consistency and alignment with internal stakeholders. * Perform other duties as assigned.
