Part-Time Product Marketing Manager, WonsultingAI
Job Type: Part Time, 5–10 hours per week, with scope to grow
Compensation: $20–$40 USD per hour
Location: Fully remote within the United States
WonsultingAI helps job seekers take meaningful steps toward their next job. We are looking for a hands-on Product Marketing Manager to help users discover value, take the next useful action, and keep making progress across the product lifecycle.
Your first project is email marketing. You will work closely with Product to connect product touchpoints with email touchpoints: mapping user actions and drop-offs, turning them into relevant messages, and measuring whether those messages improve key lifecycle metrics. The initial scope is focused on 5–10 hours per week, with room for hours and responsibilities to grow as priorities and results develop.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and existing marketing owners to map the user lifecycle and identify the highest-impact email opportunities across onboarding, activation, feature adoption, repeat use, conversion, and retention.
- Audit current email journeys and product touchpoints. Identify gaps, conflicting messages, and opportunities to guide users toward one clear next action.
- Build and improve focused lifecycle email campaigns, including audience segments, event triggers, timing, copy, calls to action, exclusions, and suppression rules when users complete the intended action.
- Work with Product and Engineering to define reliable events, audience eligibility, and destinations that carry the user from an email back to the right product step. Coordinate dependencies and test the full experience before launch.
- Set a baseline and success metric for each campaign. Run practical experiments and evaluate changes in meaningful product actions and downstream outcomes, alongside email deliverability and engagement.
- Use user feedback, support themes, and product data to sharpen messaging and prioritize the next improvement. Share a concise readout of results, lessons, and recommended next steps.
- As the role grows, support product launches and adoption campaigns with clear positioning, benefit-led messaging, coordinated release communications, and post-launch follow-through.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 3 years of product marketing experience, with 3–7 years as the target range. Hands-on lifecycle email experience for B2C SaaS or consumer subscription products.
- Examples of campaigns that improved activation, product adoption, conversion, retention, or another meaningful lifecycle outcome, with a clear explanation of your contribution.
- Ability to translate product behavior into useful email journeys, including segmentation, automation, testing, and measurement.
- Clear, concise writing that helps users understand product value and take action.
- Comfort working closely with product and technical teams to connect events, customer experiences, and campaign reporting.
- Strong prioritization and independent execution within a small weekly time budget. Experience in the job-search or career-related industry is helpful.
What Success Looks Like
In your first 90 days, you will establish a shared map of product and email touchpoints, agree on baseline lifecycle metrics with Product, prioritize a focused email backlog, and launch and evaluate the first campaigns as the necessary data and product dependencies are ready. Success means evidence of better user progression and a clear account of what to improve next, with scope kept realistic for 5–10 hours per week.
