Job Description
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Marketing & Public Relations Consultant to help build, structure, and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for our logistics freight brokerage. In this role, you will be responsible for elevating our brand visibility, establishing strong public relations within the transportation industry, and implementing targeted strategies to generate high-quality leads (both shippers and motor carriers).
The ideal consultant has a deep understanding of the logistics landscape, supply chain dynamics, and the specific B2B marketing channels that drive growth for third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Planning
Structure a Marketing Plan: Audit our current digital footprint and develop a scalable, structured annual marketing strategy aligned with business growth goals.
Brand Positioning: Define and refine our unique value proposition (UVP) to differentiate us from competitors in the crowded freight brokerage market.
Budgeting & ROI Tracking: Establish a marketing budget and define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing campaigns.
Public Relations & Authority Building
Industry Presence: Position our brokerage as a trusted, compliant, and authoritative partner within the logistics industry.
Media & Outreach: Identify and secure opportunities for press releases, features in logistics publications (e.g., Transport Topics, FreightWaves), and participation in relevant industry.
Crisis & Reputation Management: Help craft clear communication guidelines to maintain animpeccable reputation among shippers, carriers, and factoring companies.
B2B Lead Generation & Content Strategy
Shipper & Carrier Acquisition: Design and execute inbound and outbound campaigns specifically targeted at acquiring new shippers (manufacturers, dealers, construction).
Content Creation: Oversee or assist in creating compelling B2B marketing collateral, including case studies, whitepapers, email nurture sequences, and social media content .
Digital Presence: Optimize our website and digital touchpoints to improve conversion rates for incoming leads.
