Job Description

See below for how to apply.

The Company

We’re a small and mighty branding and marketing agency working across real estate, hospitality, and aesthetic medicine. Our clients include multifamily communities, new developments, hotels, cosmetic dentists, and plastic surgeons.

Our business has grown almost entirely through referrals. We’re selective about the clients we take on, care deeply about the work we put into the world, and believe that building a great agency requires great people. Which is why we’re looking for you!

Our team includes seven employees and a trusted network of creative partners across design, photography, video, and other specialties.

Our Social division has established clients, a capable team, and opportunities for continued growth. We’re looking for a full-time Director of Social to take ownership of the division and lead its next chapter.

The Opportunity

Our founder currently provides senior leadership across social strategy, client relationships, creative direction, and team oversight. We’re ready to transition that ownership to an experienced director to continue growth.

You’ll lead the social division’s strategy, people, quality, and delivery, giving clients and team members a consistent senior point of contact.

This is an ongoing operating leadership role. You should enjoy turning strategic recommendations into clear direction, helping others execute, and staying accountable for the result.

Specifically, you’ll:

  • Own client social strategy and relationships. Lead planning and client conversations, translate business goals into social priorities, and proactively recommend improvements.
  • Lead and develop the team. Manage two strong, full-time social media managers through clear expectations, regular feedback, coaching, and accountability.
  • Direct creative production. Guide designers, editors, and content partners with strong concepts, useful briefs, and actionable feedback.
  • Own quality control. Review strategy, copy, creative, and reporting before they reach clients, ensuring the work meets each brand’s standards.
  • Connect content to action. Identify opportunities to improve community engagement, inquiry handling, lead capture, and follow-up workflows.
  • Use performance data to make decisions. Help the team explain what is working, what needs to change, and how those findings inform the next month’s strategy.
  • Manage delivery and capacity. Oversee timelines, resources, scope, and deadlines, addressing risks before they become urgent.
  • Strengthen the division’s systems. Improve briefing, reviews, reporting, onboarding, and internal communication so excellent work becomes easier to repeat.
  • Help build the team. Assess hiring needs and support recruitment and onboarding, including a planned additional social media manager in Q1.
  • Partner with the founder. Keep leadership informed of performance, opportunities, and decisions that need broader input while independently handling the division’s day-to-day leadership.

About You

You’ve led social teams at the director level or above and can connect creative direction, commercial judgment, client service, and team leadership.

You’re AI-fluent and always looking for a smarter way to work. You already use AI in your day-to-day work and can identify practical ways to improve research, planning, briefing, reporting, and internal operations. You’ll help the team build repeatable workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and turn useful experiments into documented processes. You bring strong editorial judgment, verify outputs, protect confidential information, and ensure the work retains each client’s distinct voice and creative quality. You can point to specific examples of how your approach has saved time or improved results.

You bring

  • Experience managing social media managers and directing creative contributors.
  • Deep organic social expertise, including platform-specific strategy, short-form video, storytelling, community management, and performance analysis.
  • Experience with premium, service-based brands in real estate, hospitality, travel, or aesthetic medicine.
  • Strong creative judgment and the ability to explain why a concept, caption, or execution needs improvement.
  • Confidence leading client conversations, presenting recommendations, and navigating difficult discussions with warmth and clarity.
  • The ability to distinguish a content problem from a strategy, conversion, or operational problem.
  • Strong organizational judgment: you can prioritize, delegate, manage scope, and keep multiple accounts moving.
  • An active interest in how social platforms and audience behavior are changing, with the judgment to choose what fits each brand.
  • Independent ownership, proactive communication, and consistent follow-through.
  • A location within the United States or Canada.

Especially valuable

  • Experience in a boutique agency managing multiple client accounts.
  • Experience supporting leasing, bookings, consultations, or other service-based conversion goals.
  • Familiarity with social-to-CRM workflows, attribution and UTM tracking, lead capture, and tools such as ManyChat.
  • Experience developing expert-led or thought leadership content.
  • Experience improving agency processes and developing team members.
  • Location on West Coast United States - major plus!

What Success Looks Like

Clients feel understood and confidently advised. The team knows what great work looks like and has the direction to deliver it. Creative is thoughtful, deadlines are dependable, and reporting leads to better decisions.

The founder can step back from routine social approvals and account oversight because the division has a trusted leader who owns the work and anticipates what comes next.

Why Join Us

We’re intentional about who we work with.

Great work starts with the right relationships. We look for clients with businesses we believe in and people we enjoy collaborating with. We’re comfortable passing on opportunities that don’t fit our expertise, standards, or capacity.

We take the work seriously… and enjoy the people doing it.

We care about precision, polish, and follow-through. We also bring enthusiasm, personality, and humor to our work. Our ideal teammate is ambitious about the outcome, generous with their expertise, and enjoyable to build alongside.

You’ll have real ownership.

This role has a clear mandate: lead the Social division. You’ll make decisions, guide the team, own client relationships, and strengthen the way the division operates. You’ll work directly with the founder, with room to bring your own judgment and ideas.

Creative taste matters here.

We care about the visual, verbal, and emotional details that make a brand distinctive. You’ll collaborate with designers, photographers, videographers, and editors to create work that feels specific to each client. Strong concepts, thoughtful storytelling, and excellent execution are valued here.

The work connects to real business goals.

Our clients need qualified tours, patient inquiries, bookings, stronger reputations, and lasting customer relationships. We expect social strategy to connect those objectives to content, community management, and the path from interest to action.

We’re building with intention.

We plan growth around the people and resources needed to deliver well. This role will help shape that growth: strengthening systems, developing team members, and identifying when additional support is needed.

We believe excellent service needs clear boundaries.

Being responsive and accommodating goes hand in hand with managing scope, setting expectations, and protecting the team’s capacity. We value leaders who anticipate issues, communicate early, and keep commitments realistic.

Your contribution will be visible.

We’re a small team, and good ideas can become better ways of working quickly. You’ll have direct access to the founder and clients… and a meaningful role in shaping the division’s standards, capabilities, and future.
